Much of the filming for Angels One Five was done at Kenley in Kent. This even involved converting one smallish building on the Airfield into a makeshift film studio.

Raised 800 yards from airfield. Learned much about RAF at Wattenden Pub as a kid when mum and dad took us kids for a walk and dandilion burdoch drink and crisps on Sundays listening to stories from RAF blokes. On the way back around the peramiter road had a Walls ice cream at “Boydens End” . Age 10 sold papers in NAAFI heard more stories about WW2, engineering as I gave out horse tips from Epsom’s farrier telling us when a horse switches from work shoes to modern lightweight racing plates for a race. Friends dads were RAF pilots and more stories or a shrug of the shoulders expressing it’s all over now… lets go play cricket. I loved NAAFI grub at RAF Kenley and Guards Barracks Caterham…. vivid realities of life and death taught us about priorities in our miracle of Life.
